Description:

Yarmouth Elementary School, which serves students in grades 2 through 5, has an opening for an Anticipated Special Education Teacher beginning the 2024-25 school year. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled special education teacher to join our elementary school team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of diverse learning needs and be skilled in developing individualized education plans (IEPs). Patience, creativity, and adaptability are essential qualities for effectively supporting students with varying abilities and needs. Strong collaboration with colleagues, families, and support staff is crucial in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

The Yarmouth School Department, located ten miles north of Portland, Maine serves students in Pre-K through grade 12 in four schools and is consistently recognized among the highest performing school districts in Maine, with two National Blue Ribbon School awards since 2018.
