Are you looking for a job that offers challenge, professional growth, and the opportunity to improve the quality of life for others by supporting their independence? We are seeking Care Coordinators to mentor Direct Support Professionals in our residential programs.

The Residential Care Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the quality of life for individuals served and promoting a positive work environment for Direct Support Professionals (DSP). The Residential Lead will accomplish this work through collaborative efforts with other direct care staff and the Residential Manager. With the support of a residential team the Residential Lead is responsible for maintaining a successful program and healthy milieu for staff and consumers. The Residential Lead’s work is driven by the agency’s mission to improve the quality of life by supporting independence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the field of human services.
  • High School Degree or GED equivalent; preferred two-year college experience.
  • Possess the ability to lead staff in a positive and effective manner.
  • Possess professional values and ethics; model confidentiality practices.
  • Possess basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word programs. Experience with Therap a plus.
  • Possess a valid Maine state driver’s license.
  • Prior experience as a DSP and CRMA preferred.
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
  • Ability to pass required background checks, to include: Adult/Child Protective Services; criminal history; OIG Exclusion list; National Sex Offender Registry; Bureau of Motor Vehicles record; and Maine CNA Registry.
