VHC Support Services Specialist - Limited Service

Review customer data to ensure eligibility and enrollment is accurate and consistent across all systems. Skills: Above average Excel skills. Knowledge of Medicaid. Will assist the user acceptance testing team to create scripts, seed cases and validate test results during the annual open enrollment user acceptance testing period.
This position is part of the Vermont Health Connect (VHC) team ensuring that Vermonters' have the insurance coverage they need. Duties may include:
Research and re-mediate issues related to enrollment file and premium processing discrepancies.
Assist with identifying trends and opportunities for system and process improvements.
Conduct interactions with carrier/issuers, premium processor, and technical vendors to resolve issues.
Research and address data integrity and integration issues.
Participate in system testing as needed.
This position is a member of the enrollment and premium processing team, and is responsible for working with the premium processor and carriers to ensure Vermonters' have the coverage they need.
Ability to work independently, in addition to collaborating with other team members.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally to a variety of constituents.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations; compliance with HIPPA guidelines.
Ability to work within a fast-paced, quickly evolving organization and manage multiple, complex priorities.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of and ability to apply basic computer skills. Proficiency in Excel preferred.
Knowledge of Siebel CRM system preferred.
Knowledge of Medicaid rules a plus.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Duties involve extensive interaction with beneficiaries, private insurers, employees and employers. Work is performed under the general direction of the VHC Support Services Manager. This is the second level in the VHC Support Services Specialist series and is distinguished from the first level by a broader scope of program responsibility and the need to function with independence and significant interaction with other division or department staff, other state or outside agencies.
All employees of the Agency of Human Services perform their respective functions adhering to four key practices: customer service, holistic service, strengths-based relationships and results orientation.
Duties are performed in an office setting. Workload usually heavy with constant need for prompt, accurate decisions. Extensive telephone contact.
Bachelor's degree AND one (1) year or more of experience in a healthcare or health insurance field.
Four (4) years or more of experience in a healthcare or health insurance field.
