Our Learning Center, a state licensed independent school, provides a therapeutically oriented academic curriculum. Our program serves boys who are able to continue residing in their home, but whose behavior/learning difficulties require more intensive services than are available in their local school.
The ideal candidates would possess strong collaborative skills, have experience delivering remedial instruction in math, reading, and written expression and maintain data collection systems for academic and behavioral progress monitoring. Knowledge and experience with current best practices in elementary education, technology integration skills, and differentiation and inclusion are a must. This person will be responsible for being an active member of a team, and must be willing to work in an interdisciplinary manner.
Candidates seeking special education position should demonstrate strong case management skills and knowledge of special education law and procedures.
Salary and Benefits: based upon licensure and experience.
Must have or be eligible for appropriate Vermont licensure.
