Emergency Department Nurses- Do you go home stressed and frustrated? It doesn't have to be that way. Our 9 bed department is staffed with an all-attending medical staff and a highly skilled professional team.
North Country Hospital has an immediate opening for a Full Time Emergency Department RN. This Registered Nurse will become part of our team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing high quality care to our community members. We are seeking a nurse who is clinically strong, enthusiastic about ED nursing and who demonstrates respect and concern for patients. The emergency department at North Country Hospital features state of the art technology and maintains a collaborative relationship between nurses and physicians.This position is designed for 12 hour shifts, rotational schedule.
Requirements:Current Vermont RN license. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Current in ACLS and PALS. TNCC within one year of hire. 2-3 years of Emergency experience preferred.
Statement of Purpose
The Registered Nurse II utilizes the nursing process to independently deliver nursing care to patients in order to achieve quality outcomes. Communicates need for guidance/supervision based on self-assessment of strengths and limitations. Promotes a positive image of nursing and promotes collegiality among healthcare team members.
- NCH is a 25 bed access hospital with a 10 bed emergency department.
- All of our Emergency Physicians are Board certified in Emergency Medicine and work collaboratively with nursing in a team dynamic.
- Specialty certification CEN certified emergency Nurse is encouraged and reimbursed.
- We have on site ACLS PALS and BLS classes which are all free for employees. Other required courses such as TNCC are provided and reimbursed.
Minimum Education and Experience: RN II
Education: Graduate of a nursing program: diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate program.
Experience: At least 2 years of ED or critical care experience and meet ALL requirements of RN II
License and Certificates Required: Valid and Current Vermont Registered Nurse License, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Life Support (ACLS)required. PALS and TNCC must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
Reporting Relationships: Supervised By-Director of the assigned area, Supervision Of-Registered Nurses I, , Nurses Aides, ED Techs, Unit Secretary, and all others assigned to a specific patient care team including students from various Health care programs.
Equipment Utilized: Electronic Medical Record, PC, Common Office Equipment, Patient equipment appropriate to area/unit.
