New Graduate Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse I coordinates, participates in, modifies and evaluates the patient's plan of care. Is able to oversee management of a group of patients and identify problems and issued related to patient care outcomes/unit operations. Serves as a positive role model for members of the healthcare team.
Education: Graduate of nursing program: diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate program. BSN preferred.
Minimum License: Valid and Current Vermont License - Registered Nurse
Certifications Required: BLS required for hire for all RN positions. House Supervisor - ACLS, NRP, PEARS (highly recommended) Flex RN - ACLS, NRP, PEARS, ED - ACLS, TNCC, PALS, PEARS is optional, MCH - PEARS and NRP as soon as possible following hire within 1 year, PALS is optional. MedSurg - ICU - ACLS, OR/PACU - ACLS within 1 st year of hire, PALS within 2 nd year. Once eligible, certification in specialty area.
Reporting Relationships: Supervised By- Manager of the assigned area, Supervision Of- Registered Nurses, Licensed practical Nurses, Licensed Nurses Assistants, Orderlies, Unit Clerks, and all others assigned to a specific patient care team including students from various Health care programs.
Equipment Utilized: Electronic Medical Record, PC, Common Office Equipment, Patient Equipment appropriate to area/unit.
