This position, (Information Center Ambassador, Job Opening #620969), is open to all State employees and external applicants.
This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.
Hourly rates within the Temporary Bargaining Unit Pay Plan will change effective July 9, 2017. At that time, the starting rate (Step 1) for this job opening will be $14.57 per hour.

General Job Description
Hospitality, custodial, informational, and promotional work for the Department of Buildings and General Services. Provides visitor services at information centers located through-out the state. Work is performed under the supervision of an Information Center Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of customer service work experience in tourism, hospitality, recreation, marketing, public relations, or other related field that includes significant public contact.
Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher in tourism, hospitality, recreation, marketing, public relations, or other closely related field.
NOTE: These are temporary positions and there is no guaranteed or regularly-scheduled work hours.
