Statement of Purpose
Responsible for the flow of medical information entering and exiting the practice. Cordially and efficiently greets and receives patients, ascertains their needs, and directs patients according to their needs. Provides support for the smooth operation of the medical practice. Performs other clerical duties as required.
High School diploma. Typing 60 WPM and computer skills. Medical terminology and knowledge of insurance plans helpful. Successful completion of a two-year medical secretarial program or certificate in medical transcription is preferred. Anatomy and Physiology course helpful. Able to greet and interact with public in a tactful, cheerful manner.
