This position works closely with the Special Assistant to the President, assisting with development work including College of Graduate & Continuing Studies (CGCS) phonathon, direct mail, and special event management. S/he will also have responsibilities to the Sr. Director of Development as it relates to coordinating fundraising for CGCS, supporting major gift work and other administrative duties. The successful candidate will enhance and grow a fundraising program that may lead to increased supervisory opportunities.
- Soliciting gifts through the alumni development campaign.
- Reaching out to donors and prospects
- Maintaining various schedules, coordinate meetings, appointments and special events.
- Compiling data and producing various departmental reports that are requested.
- Performing and managing administrative functions.
- Travel arrangements
High school diploma and a minimum of three years relative experience required. Higher education background, and particularly experience with CGCS is preferred.
There will be occasional after hour's requirements and weekends. Knowledge of general office practices and standard office applications is required; the ability to learn specialized administrative software is required.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
