The School Based Autism Program is seeking Behavior Interventionists (BI's) for our growing team. Students served may present with Autism Spectrum, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, and/or other Genetic or Developmental Disabilities. Client's served typically have challenging behaviors and BI staff follow behavior plans to de-escalate situations, decrease maladaptive behaviors while increasing prosocial skills. Staff will provide direct instruction, collect data and support students throughout their school day. Flexibility with placement location is a must as clients reside within any given public school in Franklin & Grand Isle counties. Experience/knowledge of ABA and/or DIR/Floortime preferred, though, willing to train the right person. If you looking for Board Certification mentor hours (BCBA/BCaBA), we can provide these. Successful candidates will be strong team players, flexible, patient and are willing, able and excited to learn about working with children in public schools. Successful candidates will be strong team players, flexible, have a solid work ethic, patient and are willing, able and excited to learn about working with children with Developmental Disabilities. This is a professional position working independently within public schools; the ability to make good decisions in crisis situations is necessary.
Bachelors Degree in any field required.
Monday thru Friday following public school schedule along with paid vacations (some after school supervision), and four week summer camp.
