Who We Are

For the past 41 years, CSC has been providing housing with support services to seniors and persons with disabilities. As the State of Vermont’s largest nonprofit provider of affordable senior housing, CSC lives by its mission: to build healthy homes, caring communities and to create programs and supportive services that encourage positive aging. CSC is also committed to building new communities that are financially strong, environmentally sound, and serve as models for other housing organizations across the state and nation.

CSC has created the SASH (Support And Service at Home) system of housing, support services, and care delivery for seniors through the State of Vermont, supported by CMS we are hopeful it will become the national model. They are committed to cutting edge innovative thinking and design.

CSC is a non-profit organization that owns and manages properties for seniors and individuals with special needs. The organization was founded as a ministry of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in 1977 and by 1979 CSC had opened its first building in downtown Burlington, Vermont.

Today, CSC owns and/or manages 24 housing communities located in four Vermont counties, each uniquely designed to serve distinct populations. CSC offers a chance to live independently in a safe and secure apartment at an affordable price.
