Summary

 

This position is responsible for providing customer service to advisors, general agents, clients and internal staff.  answering incoming calls regarding brokerage account, opening, maintenance and transfers; research discrepancies; perform high level research and document information pertaining to department's area of responsibility. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Answering incoming calls, opening, maintaining and transferring brokerage accounts.
  • Research discrepancies; to include performing high level research and documenting information pertaining to department's area of responsibility. 
  • Execute equity, mutual fund and fixed income transactions on a timely basis to achieve the best possible results for the client and representative. 
  • Respond to questions from clients, registered representatives, vendors, home office associates, regarding trades, securities, and administrative procedures. 
  • Research and resolve problems with trades, reporting, commissions, and administration. 
  • Educates registered representatives regarding general securities and brokerage procedures.
  • Develop and maintain contacts within the securities and trading industry to professionally represent the firm.

Requirements

 

  • Strong background in customer service and processing. 
  • A bachelor's degree or a minimum of two year's experience within financial services.
  • Preferably a NASD Series 7 license, otherwise will be expected to obtain one within three months of employment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player able to work with individuals at all levels of the organization. 
  • Superb interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
